Diesel Tank Cleaning Jeanneau Sailboat
We remain active with diesel tank cleaning even during the winter storage periods.
This way we try to spread the work a bit so that not everything piles up at the beginning of the sailing season. The owner of this Jeanneau sailboat decided to have a preventive cleaning of the diesel tank while the boat is stored outside on stands.
The intention is that they will make some further trips at sea with the sailboat, and yes, you want to be sure that everything is in order. We built a service hatch into the plastic tank. For this, we chose our own stainless steel model. A cheaper alternative for plastic tanks might be the screw caps from Vetus. But our experience is that, especially in the case of the more sporty sailor, where the boat can lean heavily to one side, these caps do not always remain leak-proof.
Our stainless steel service hatches with inner flange and nitrile gasket are guaranteed to be leak and odor-free in all conditions.
